Vancouver Island Lodge is a world-class fishing and adventure destination in beautiful Sooke, British Columbia. Some of the world’s best Salmon and Halibut fishing is just a short boat ride, on the calm seas, away from our comfortable lodge.

 

Our Food
Great food is a key part of the Vancouver Island Lodge experience. Our guests have a variety of dining options available at the lodge, on the boat, and at neighbouring restaurants. Our chefs will provide a wholesome and delicious west coast inspired breakfast before you head out on the water and a great lunch to take with you on the boat. In the evening your dinner will be catered by the amazing Stickleback West Coast Eatery.

 

Activities
From whale watching to hiking, there is so much to see and explore around Vancouver Island Lodge. Sooke’s popularity as a scenic tourist destination has existed for generations. Well-known destinations in Sooke, such as Whiffin Spit Park, the Sooke Potholes Regional Park, and adjacent Sooke Potholes Provincial Park attract visitors both locally and from around the world. Sooke is also home to the Sooke Region Museum and Visitor centre; where visitors and locals are able to get information on regional attractions and history.

 

Our Lodge

The Vancouver Island Lodge is located on a tranquil private acreage with an exceptional beachfront. The lodge has nine bedrooms, with a large common room and kitchen. Guests will enjoy the warm weather and stunning ocean views from the large deck and patio surrounding the lodge, and in the evening can relax in the hot tub overlooking the water.

    The West Coast Trail is a world renowned backpacking trail. Open from May 1st until September 30th, this gruelling 75 km (47 mi) trek is well worth the challenge for the breathtaking examples of the West Coast of Vancouver Island.

    Discover the raw beauty and uncharted nature of the CRD. From seasoned backpackers to amateur day hikers you can traverse up to the tallest peaks and back down to the rocky shores of the Juan de Fuca by hiking historical trails.
