Neptune Wildlife Tours

Embark on an authentic West Coast adventure and explore the Juan de Fuca Strait aboard our open-air catamaran "Poseidon's Chariot". Enjoy breathtaking views of the Olympic mountain range, Vancouver Island's rugged coastline, and of course, the wildlife! Common sightings include Orcas, Humpback whales, Seals and Sea lions, marine birds, and so much more! Each tour is expertly guided by a Marine Biologist, and complimentary photography services are included to maximize your experience. Tours offered daily from May to October and by request November-April. Private charters also available for up to 12 people.

Located in the Sooke Harbour Resort and Marina, Neptune Wildlife Tours offers the ultimate whale and wildlife experience. While we are the newest tour operator in the area, we bring years of experience in various fields to the table. Upon arrival to our location, embrace the atmosphere of our custom built, floating patio and office. Sit back, relax, and suit up for the adventure of a lifetime! If you’re joining us for one of our sunset wildlife tours, find a seat around our gas fireplace to warm up and take a moment to process all of the excitement and beauty that Sooke has to offer. Our owner/operator Ryan, combines his extensive knowledge of the local ecosystem with years of boating experience to find the greatest wildlife our area has to offer, and deliver amazing facts about them all! For an added bonus, he also takes fantastic photos during your tour which are available to download for FREE! Your booking/sign-in experience will be a breeze with Sherilyn, our office and media manager (and also Ryan’s wife!) leading the way.

    The West Coast Trail is a world renowned backpacking trail. Open from May 1st until September 30th, this gruelling 75 km (47 mi) trek is well worth the challenge for the breathtaking examples of the West Coast of Vancouver Island.

    Discover the raw beauty and uncharted nature of the CRD. From seasoned backpackers to amateur day hikers you can traverse up to the tallest peaks and back down to the rocky shores of the Juan de Fuca by hiking historical trails.
